About this event
Rates of kidney disease in the Black population are higher than rates in other groups.
- Black Americans make up 13% of the US population but account for 35% of the population with kidney failure.
- Black Americans are about 4 times more likely than White Americans to develop kidney failure.
The Beverly Hills West (CA) Chapter and Los Angeles (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated are collaborating to raise awareness in the Black community about chronic kidney disease (CKD). Our goal is to reduce the risk of kidney failure in our community and improve outcomes for Black people living with CKD.
This program is supported by a grant from Vantive.
