Let's Talk About: Respect, Boundaries, and Consent

Join us for a relaxed, discussion based workshop where you’ll explore real topics that shape everyday student life, including:

· Setting up a positive, respectful group space

· Power, privilege and gender, and how they influence everyday experiences

· Boundaries and what sexual consent looks like in real situations

· Building healthy, supportive relationships

· How we can all contribute to safer communities

The session is run by trained University staff and student facilitators, with content created in partnership with Beyond Equality. You’ll be in a small group (max 20 students), making it easy to talk, listen and learn in a supportive environment.

Whether you want to better understand these issues, feel more confident in navigating relationships and boundaries, or simply get involved in shaping a more positive campus culture, this workshop is for you.

All students are welcome - no experience or prior knowledge needed. You will not be asked to share personal experiences, and you can participate as much or as little as feels comfortable.

These workshops are pilot sessions, and we’re inviting students to help shape them. Your voice and feedback will directly support our facilitators in their training and help us build a strong, meaningful approach that truly works for our University community.

Content note:
The workshops may touch on themes such as gender stereotypes, discrimination, harassment, sexual violence, and sexual activity.
Please prioritise your safety and wellbeing. Attendance is completely optional and you are not expected to attend this workshop if the content may negatively affect your wellbeing.

These sessions are not an appropriate space to share personal experiences, so we would encourage you to maintain personal boundaries, respect confidentiality, and respect others’ privacy i.e. what happens in rooms stays in the room.

• build confidence as an active bystander and ally
