Let's Talk About Death Baby!

Join Soul Doulas Rachael Carter and David Jones as they share their personal and direct experiences surrounding death. Death can be our greatest teacher, and if we allow ourselves to sit with the prospect of our own mortailty from a healthy perspective, it can allow us the live freely and authentically in this lifetime.

Rachael is an accredited Soul Doula trainer, wellbeing and spiritual coach, TEDx speaker, and a yoga teacher; she has supported hundreds of people on their end of life journeys. She will share how her perspective on life has changed over the years after working closely with death. She believes that talking about death is not morbid, as it is a fact of life, and that it can actually teach us how to live in the present moment with gratitude and overcome any challenges that we meet along the way. Embracing death can only lead to a richer, more fulfilling life.

David is a qualified Soul Doula, Author, Life Skills Tutor, and a Public Speaker. He led an addictive lifestyle that ultimately led him to becoming homeless and in mass amounts of debt. It wasn't until a very profound and moving moment when the death of his best friend happened before him, that caused David to re-examine the way he was living. David now supports and empowers people in the local community to talk openly about death, writing end of life plans, wills, and to welcome death as a beautiful teacher it can be.

Come along for an empowering afternoon where we examine death and bring it out of the closet. Rachael and David will each share their intimate stories with you, and there will be an opprtunity for Q&A's, discussions, and group work in this refreshing, empowering, and informative event.

This one of a kind event will take place in the Exhale Conscious Bar, which is the first Non-Alcoholic Botanical Infused Bar in Birmingham.
