Let's Paddle Haverhill! - Merrimack River

On Saturday, August 23rd, we will paddle the Merrimack River!

Our put-in will be at the city boat ramp in Bradford, next to the Crescent Yacht Club. You can navigate to 30 Ferry Street in Bradford. We will have a sign at the entrance. We will meet at 10am and plan to be on the water by 10:30 and return at 12:30 to 1:00pm.The paddle will take us down river to Hale’s Island and perhaps beyond. We have timed the event to give us an incoming tide for our return to the boat ramp. This section of the river is not technically difficult. No rapids of any kind.

If river conditions are not favorable (high current or a recent combined sewer overflow warning), we will paddle Johnson’s Pond in Groveland, MA. If necessary, instructions will be provided regarding changed plans.
