Let's Make Zokin!
Linda Jackson will lead a workshop on making Zokin, traditional Japanese cleaning cloths. Zokin are made with layering and hand stitching together old, worn-out fabrics like cotton towels, t-shirts, scrap fabrics, etc. Using Zokin vs sponges or even your dishwasher is eco-friendly, sustainable and avoids waste. Zokin are durable, hand sewn and fun to make.
Bring your old washcloths or hand towels, scrap fabric or t-shirts that can be cut to about 6 x 6 inches. Needle and thread will be provided. Registration is required. This event is for adults 18+.
