The South Washington Watershed District invites you to join us for informal monthly walks at Glacial Valley Park in Woodbury and Cottage Grove from noon to 2 PM on the third Wednesday of every month in 2026.Monthly walks will engage visitors with the restored prairie and savanna in a park designed to provide high-quality native habitat, while helping to protect our communities from major flooding. These walks, in all months of the year, will encourage visitors to observe the landscape as it changes with the season.
“Walks” will be very informal and will follow established, soft, grassy trails (not ADA). Bring binoculars or a camera, field guides or sketchbooks, wear sturdy hiking shoes/boots, or bring backcountry skis or snowshoes, whatever you enjoy!
Meet at the intersection of Glacial Valley Road and Pine Island Road in Woodbury.
