Let’s Face Change are excited to announce our 2024 conference - thank you to the incredible supporters to help make this happen once again!
About this Event

Our third annual conference aims at exploring how psychology and wider mental health services can build more culturally sensitive services. It will also focus on how we can best respond to racism and address racial inequalities in mental health services and the wider world.

The conference, in partnership with Odd Arts, aims to stimulate conversations about how build more culturally sensitive approaches to mental health including; Ways we can respond to racism and try to address racial inequalities in psychology and wider mental health services; How to break down barriers to mental health services and psychology that exist for people from different cultural backgrounds by changing how we work; Working with people from different backgrounds, cultures and belief systems, to build more understanding and also celebrate cultural diversity.

The event will emphasise the importance of creativity and dialogue. During the event we will be showcasing interactive theatre, short films, discussions and 10 DIFFERENT workshops. You will be invited to select two workshops on the day (one for the morning and one for the afternoon).

Although this conference focuses on Mental Health Services, it is open to anyone.

Spaces are limited so please always let us know if you can't attend, so we can offer your space to someone else.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. A HOT lunch will be provided and this will be vegan/vegetarian. PLEASE let us know if you have any allergies or dietary requirements we need to be aware of.

PARKING and TRAVEL information:

STOLLER HALL is directly opposite Manchester Victoria Station, within easy reach of all main train, bus, tram and road links.

Visitor access is via Hunt’s Bank, with the main entrance directly facing Manchester Arena.

The Stoller Hall offer discounts for two nearby car parks:

The nearest car park is Q-Park Deansgate North, M3 7WJ, which is a five minute walk from The Stoller Hall, and is open 24/7. (40% discount - code provided on the day)

The alternative car park is Manchester Printworks | APCOA, 77 Hanover St, Shudehill, Manchester M4 4BB - approx eight minute walk. (30% discount - code provided on the day)

Please note Stoller Hall operate a bag search policy upon entering the premises.
