Join the Academy of Urbanism in Manchester this autumn for a day conference bringing together a range of urbanists in one of the UK’s exemplar cities. Not just a culturally and historically significant city, Manchester is regularly at the forefront of national discussions around the future of urbanism.

The theme for this event, Quality of Life, picks up on one of the central values of the AoU’s 2023 European City of the Year finalists. Post-pandemic and in the midst of a global cost of living crisis, how can our cities and urban infrastructure improve the lives of its citizens?

Delegates will explore themes of An Old City for Young People, Degendering the City, and Culture’s Lifeblood through a programme of presentations, panels, and site visits to major projects in Manchester.

Full programme to be released shortly.
