About this Event
This walk is part of the Festival of Nature and is linked with the Friends of Moorlands Park activity on the same day. It follows Bath Urban Treescape’s Trail E, “Rob’s Route”, named for the late Rob Randall, who devised the route, which links together a number of green spaces – Bloomfield Green, Willow Green, Moorlands Park, St Luke’s Church and Alexandra Park – via residential streets lined with interesting trees. The walk will be at a gentle pace, with frequent stops where Hugh Williamson, the leader and tree enthusiast, will identify and describe a nearby tree. Participants will be given a list of the trees we see – probably about 40 in all. A few gentle climbs are rewarded with several panoramic views across Bath.
The trail is on roads, footpaths and green spaces. Undulating, but with no long climbs.
