About this Event
Step into growth, clarity, and connection with Holistic Health and Life Coach Ellen Palmer & Holistic Psychiatrist Dr. Samira Solomon. This unique series of five workshops, explores juicy topics that impact us all! Pick and choose the ones that interest you the most or enjoy the entire series in 2025!
Our intention for each session is to blend engaging conversation, science, mindfulness, and group experiences that help us define and evolve the layers of our well-being together in a safe and supportive environment:
April 24th: Communicating with Curiosity and Compassion
These workshops are as fun and freeing as they are transformative! Expect a balanced blend of presentation, discussion and exploration to help you feel, process, and grow. Each session will include facilitated conversation, self-reflection prompts, and a grounding mindfulness exercise to leave you centered and inspired. Of course, we'll also have snacks and music to keep it real and refreshing.
Throughout the workshop series, we will explore the interconnected layers of health—from surface-level habits and cognitive shifts to the root causes embedded in your environment and nervous system. Ellen and Samira will explore why certain patterns persist, and ways to create meaningful change.
You can participate in person at Healing Meals in Simsbury, CT or virtually over Zoom.

Ellen & Samira
Ellen Palmer is a Certified Holistic Health & Life Coach, Epigenetic Specialist, and Keynote Speaker passionate about empowering individuals to live their ideal lives. With over three decades of experience, Ellen has developed a proven methodology blending science and mindfulness to optimize health, happiness, and connection. She has guided countless professionals and young adults in achieving their full potential across all areas of life, from career success and fulfilling relationships to optimal health and well-being.
As a celebrated wellness strategist and thought leader, Ellen has inspired audiences at Fortune 500 companies and leading educational institutions. Her expertise in organizational transformation, behavioral change, and individual growth has been sought by organizations seeking to cultivate a thriving culture and optimize employee well-being. Beyond her corporate work, Ellen is deeply committed to social impact, having co-founded and served as COO of a non-profit organization dedicated to improving community health and empowering youth, two of her driving passions.
Samira Solomon received a B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University in Atlanta, and then earned her M.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She went on to do her psychiatric training at the Institute of Living in Hartford, where she also served as chief resident in her final year. After residency, she pursued additional training through a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry fellowship at Hartford Hospital.
Upon completion of her fellowship, Samira worked as a consultation psychiatrist at Hartford Hospital for three years before serving as the attending psychiatrist for the Young Adult Services Medical Track at the Institute of Living, where she spent another three years. In addition to her clinical roles at the IOL, Samira served as the associate program director for the Adult Psychiatry Residency program for a portion of her time there. She has since transitioned out of the hospital setting and has been working as a psychiatrist in private practice, where she sees patients for Medic*tion management and psychotherapy with an emphasis on holistic healing.
