Let Her Invest Stock Market Night

Come join us at that Maple Room @ Maple Hall for an evening filled with fun, learning, and laughter. The Let Her Invest Stock Market Night, in partnership with Junior Achievement of East Tennessee, is an opportunity to learn about investing in the stock market through a fun-filled, fast-paced simulation game.

Working with professional financial advisors, participants will compete in teams to experience real-world investing practices and floor trading to help make investing more approachable and open up more intentional conversations about finances.

Proceeds from the event will provide the necessary funds to expand the Let Her Invest initiative into a cohort-based program for women to receive personalized support to lead more financially healthy lives and achieve their wealth goals.

In 2020, a McKinsey & Co. study revealed that women are set to control a significant share of the unprecedented $30 trillion in assets held by baby boomers by the end of the decade. This wealth transfer marks a seismic shift in financial decision-making. At the time of the study, men were the primary financial decision-makers in two-thirds of affluent American households. Today, women across all demographics are taking charge of their household wealth management. Recognizing this transformational trend, we created the Let Her Invest program to ensure women are prepared to take ownership of their financial futures and community impact.

Launched as a three-month series in the summer of 2023, Let Her Invest began with free workshops dedicated to empowering women with training on investing, financial well-being, and sustainable wealth building. The overwhelmingly positive feedback inspired us to expand the program into a monthly workshop series. Since its inception, Let Her Invest has supported 347 women on their financial journeys, providing expert guidance on topics such as real estate investment, building a financial team, and more. With over 40 distinguished guest speakers donating 45 hours of invaluable education, this program has become a cornerstone for women eager to take control of their finances and wealth building.

Since 2018, Let Her Speak has been empowering women to excel as leaders and changemakers by providing comprehensive support that addresses key areas of personal and professional growth. Our initiatives focus on building professional skills, expanding social capital, improving financial literacy, enhancing mental health & well-being, and delivering leadership development training. Through cohort programming, workshops, networking opportunities, mentorship, and grants - we equip women with the resources they need to make a lasting impact in their communities.

To our knowledge, Let Her Speak is the only organization in the United States that adopts a truly holistic approach to supporting women in business and leadership.

We recognize that the challenges women face - such as negative self-perception, limited social capital, gaps in education, mental health struggles, and financial insecurity - are interconnected. By addressing these barriers together, we’ve been able to drive meaningful progress, elevating more women into leadership roles where they accelerate economic, social, and environmental improvements in their communities.
