Musical Theatre Workshop – Reimagining One Day More

In this workshop we’ll explore the legendary ensemble number One Day More from Les Misérables — but with a twist.Rather than recreating the well-known staging from the original production, we’ll completely reimagine the song. Together we’ll explore new ways of staging it, new dynamics between characters, and bold storytelling choices that make the moment feel fresh and personal.

This workshop is about discovering your own interpretation rather than copying what audiences already know.

We’ll focus on:

• Acting through song — telling the story truthfully through the music

• Bringing yourself to the role — making the character your own

• Breaking away from traditional staging and experimenting with new ideas

• Bold, original performance choicesParticipants will need to learn, in their own time, one character vocal line before the workshop - your choice, including:

• Jean Valjean
• Javert
• Marius Pontmercy
• Cosette
• Éponine
• Enjolras
• Monsieur Thénardier
• Madame Thénardier

Any one of any age or sex can choose any character. Always getting cast as Cosette but secretly want to tackle Jean Valjean? Perfect. This workshop is about freedom, creativity and playing the role you’re excited by. Doesn't matter how many people end up playing a particular role.This workshop is open to everyone, whether you’re an experienced performer or simply curious about musical theatre and want to develop your confidence, creativity and storytelling through song .Come along and help reinvent one of musical theatre’s most iconic songs.
