The excitement is palpable for this one, folks! Stu and Karen Lerner visited Taylor's in February, we tasted through his latest Lerner Project wines, and we put this Wine Dinner Date on the calendar! After a little coercing, he agreed to bring the big man himself, his winemaker and partner, Russell Bevan. Stu retired after 40 years of working closely with Napa Valley and Sonoma wineries as a wood pallet vendor. He followed his passion of tasting and collecting fine wines, and he and Karen started Lerner Project with their 2016 vintage. It was a no-brainer for them to enlist a business partner and winemaker who had just received Wine Advocate's Winemaker of the year in 2015, Russell Bevan. Russell now has made 34 wines that have earned 100 Points! They share a glorious dedication to artisan quality, detail, and a pursuit of perfection.
This seated dinner will be served buffet style, in a wine party atmosphere. Chef Robert at the Carolina Exotic Car Club makes some delightfully delicious food, and our Taylor's staff will be pouring the gorgeous lineup of wines below. Although the wines are very serious, Stu and Russell make it fun!
