Lemonade Day McMinnville is a free, community-wide youth entrepreneurship program that empowers local kids to start, own, and operate their very own small business — a lemonade stand — for a day. Organized locally through the McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce, the program teaches students real-world business and life skills like budgeting, marketing, customer service, goal-setting, and money management.
Each summer, hundreds of young participants across McMinnville and Yamhill County plan their stands by creating business plans, developing branding, and learning how to “spend a little, save a little, and share a little” through profits and charitable giving.
On Lemonade Day, neighborhoods throughout the city come alive with youth-run lemonade stands, giving the community a chance to support aspiring entrepreneurs while helping kids build confidence, financial literacy, and leadership skills. In recent years, hundreds of students have participated by launching dozens of stands across town, turning a simple idea into a hands-on learning experience that invests in the next generation of local business leaders.
