Join the City of Gaffney, the Overmountain Victory Trail Association, Carolina Rising Museum, and the National Park Service for the annual Lunch & Learn: Legs of the Trail.
In the autumn of 1780, Patriot militia gathered from Virginia, the Watauga settlements, the Yadkin valley, and the Carolina Backcountry and marched the “legs” of what is now the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail to Kings Mountain. This program follows those routes through stories from descendants and scholars in a discussion panel format.
