When I worked for Congress, 201 Massachusetts Avenue, N.E. was a regular Hill Hangout, a place for Congressional Staff, Lobbyists and others to spend time, eat and drink, in the afternoon or evening, after a long day.Today, The Consortium at 201 is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work they do at this Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of society’s biggest challenges. Now Black Owned, it seeks to create work opportunities for individuals and communities, through training and supporting small and local businesses. The collective power of The Consortium for Sustainable Workforces is a network designed to provide low-risk, results-oriented options to meet the needs of government agencies, as well, as the local community.
