Legends & Lore Storytelling Series: Tales from the Seanchaí

Join Rambling House Food & Gathering and TaleSpinner Brewery for a night filled with tales by the fire. Enjoy an evening of storytelling by raconteur, humorist, and author Simon Brooks. Food by Rambling House and TaleSpinner craft beer, in addition to wine and a selection of craft cocktails will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

Simon Brooks will be your seanchaí for the evening. A seanchaí (shan-a-key) is a storyteller tasked with keeping alive the Irish myths, folklore, and legends that inspire a people. In ancient Ireland, the seanchaí was held in high esteem and would regularly attract large crowds to hear the long-form poems and tales they had to tell. The Irish hold a great appreciation for the spoken word and Simon will be sure to keep you entertained with tales you may know, and some you may not!
