Saturday, January 18th, darkness will fall twice on the historic Babcock Theatre, for there shall be TWO special screenings of Ridley Scott's majestic 1985 fantasy adventure film, LEGEND, in celebration of the film's 40th anniversary! Starring a young Tom Cruise and Tim Curry in one of his most memorable roles, LEGEND is a conceptually tantalizing voyage into the world of fantasy, beautifully showing off a realm full of dreamlike imagery that is further accentuated by an excellent score from Tangerine Dream, this magical marvel delivers thrills, awe, and humor within its striking story that perfectly encapsulates that nostalgic feeling of 80s high fantasy!
Set in a timeless magical forest full of all sorts of fantasy creatures, a young man named Jack is chosen by fate to undergo a dangerous quest to rescue the princess Lili from the Lord of Darkness, who seeks to destroy the last of the unicorns in order to bring about an eternal ice age!
