A day of golf, family, and purpose in Ottawa — raising funds to send children to school and build the next generation of leaders.
About this Event

There are days that are simply pleasant. And then there are days you'll talk about for years.

This is the second kind.

Join us for the Legacy Leadership Family Golf & Community Celebration — a full day of golf, family, and purpose hosted by Ruth Dorsainville-Hulse and the DNA Black Leadership Institute.

Picture it: the fairways of Pine View under a July sky. Children laughing at the face-painting table while their parents play a round. The hum of a marketplace, the clink of a silent-auction bid, live music drifting across the green, and all around you — the people who make this city move. Business owners. Community builders. The quietly generous and the genuinely influential, gathered in one place for one reason.

Because the people who shape a community tend to find each other. And this is where they'll be.

Here's what your day holds:

  • ⛳ A 4-hour golf tournament — every skill level welcome
  • 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family-friendly activities from morning to close
  • 🎨 Face painting and children's entertainment
  • 🧸 Supervised children's care while you golf
  • 🍳 Breakfast and a sit-down lunch
  • 🛍️ A sponsor marketplace and exhibitor booths
  • 🎁 A silent auction
  • 🤝 Networking with the community's leaders and decision-makers
  • 🎶 Live music and entertainment
  • 🎤 Community leadership presentations

Two communities. One act of showing up.

When you reserve your seat, your support reaches two places at once.

Half a world away, the Mustakabali Wetu Organization is giving children in Kenya something every child deserves: a desk, a uniform, a teacher, and a future. $340 covers a full school year for one child — one girl who becomes a doctor, one boy who becomes a teacher and goes back to lift up his village. You won't see their faces today. But because you came, their classroom has one more seat in it.

And right here in Ottawa, Feed Canada is making sure no family in our own city goes to bed hungry. The neighbour you pass on the street. The kid in your child's class. The senior on a fixed income who'd never tell a soul. When the cupboard is bare, Feed Canada fills it — quietly, with dignity, no questions asked.

One is a child you'll never meet. One is a neighbour you already know. Today, you reach them both — without choosing between them.

Why this is the one to be at

Because legacy isn't built alone. It's built in rooms like this one, on days like this one, by people who decide that showing up matters. You'll leave with new connections, a full heart, and the rare certainty that a single good day did real, lasting good.

Reserve your tickets today. Become a sponsor. Stand with the next generation of leaders.

Together, we lead. Together, we build legacy.
