About this Event
Join us for an evening of camaraderie, food, and meaningful discussion around the mental health needs of our state's ag communities! This event brings together our agricultural and wellness communities to address mental health challenges in our rural areas.
About the Film
“Legacy” documents the beautiful and sometimes challenging realities of agricultural life in Colorado. Created through collaboration between the Colorado Department of Agriculture and Colorado Farm Bureau, the film offers intimate glimpses into producers’ lives, highlighting both struggles and available support systems.
When a farmer or rancher faces crisis, it can create an emotional toll on every aspect of life. The agricultural community is pulling together to help each other navigate through stressful times. From paying bills, to feeding their children, caring for the livestock and crops, retirement options, and even what they will be able to leave their heirs, the worry and anxiety can be overwhelming.
"This film documents the beautiful and sometimes painful stories of a deep love for agriculture... Our partners at the Colorado Farm Bureau worked with experts statewide to create this glimpse into the lives and struggles of producers to help destigmatize mental health in rural communities... We thank all of our partners... And a very special thanks to the farmers and ranchers who shared their stories. It is their hope that this film will reach others in need."
