Leeds Rum Festival 2024

Our longest running festival returns once again for the 8th Leeds Rum Fest - to bring you more Rum, infectious music, in-depth masterclasses and delicious food.

This year we are taking the party to Fearns Leeds Dock, who celebrate the creative side of Yorkshire, from farm to fork, people to products.

We are very excited to be showcasing over 100 rums available for you to try from all over the world. Each one is represented by experts ready to talk you through every sip.

Rum brands on show will be announced over the coming weeks (all Rum sampling is included in the ticket price).

Aside from the main tasting room you will find bespoke masterclasses hosted by rum ambassadors ready to fill you with knowledge (and rum of course!). It's first come first served so get your spot quickly.

As always, our good friends at Latitude Wine & Liquor Merchants will be operating the festival bottle shop so you can purchase your favourites from the festival to take home.

Fearns very own Head Chef Jade Crawley will be serving up some delicious Caribbean bowl food to keep your tastebuds dancing.

Only want to join for the after party? We also have limited afterparty only tickets available with entry from 17:00 and a special drink on arrival. Please note, this does not include any of the rum samples.

I've never been to a rum festival before. What does it look like?

Take a look at our Instagram to get an idea @studioeventsuk. When you arrive there will be 20 plus stands with a different rum brand at each one. Each stand will be operated by knowledgeable ambassadors and experts so we encourage you to ask questions! Slightly aside from the main area will be some seating, food and a bar if you need a time out.

Do I need to know a lot about rum?

Absolutely not! There are plenty of different styles and experts to help you find the right rum for you. This is a great way to understand the category as a whole.

What exactly is a 'sample' of rum?

A sample of rum is around 10ml of liquid. Remember there will be over 100 rums, it's a marathon, not a sprint!

Is there water available?

All guests receive bottled water upon entry. Tap and bottled water are available from Fearns Leeds Dock bar. We encourage you to remain hydrated.

What do I need to bring with me?

Just your QR/bar code that comes with your e-ticket. It will be scanned upon entry, so either have a printout or it ready on your phone.

Will there be food available?

We will have Caribbean bowl food on the day with veggie/vegan options provided by Fearns. If you have specific allergen/dietary concerns, please get in touch with Studio Events. Please note that food is not included in the ticket price.

What is a masterclass?

Our masterclasses are a chance to get a more in-depth talk from the brands. All of them cover different topics and a range of rum styles. A timetable will be published nearer to the event.

Do the masterclasses cost extra?

No, they are included in the ticket price but are only available to a limited number of guests.

Do I have to book the masterclasses?

Our masterclasses are first come first serve and only host approximately 30 people. Please make sure you queue at least 20 minutes before the class starts to avoid disappointment.

Is there just rum available?

Fearns Leeds Dock bar will be serving beer, wines and softs.
