📚 Lecture: "Quantum Physics: A Crash Course"
🎤 Speaker: Dr. Grant Kendrick Parker
The 21st century belongs to quantum physics — the science of the incredibly small that shapes our universe in the most profound (and bizarre) ways. But while it defines our technology and fuels our biggest scientific breakthroughs, quantum physics is still seen by many as intimidating or incomprehensible.
In this lecture, Dr. Grant Kendrick Parker, a particle physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Lab, will blow the doors open to the quantum world. You’ll explore Schrodinger’s Cat, Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, quantum fields, particle creation, and even the real-world particle accelerators built to study it all — no PhD required.
This talk is for the curious and the courageous. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of reality, a few new party tricks, and maybe even a new obsession with the weirdest science on Earth.
Dr. Parker’s research on antimatter, quantum gravity, and undiscovered forces of nature has been published in Nature Physics and Physical Review Letters. When he’s not decoding the universe, he’s tinkering with espresso and caring for far too many houseplants in the Bay Area.
