📚 Lecture: “Can Money Buy Happiness? Wealth, Well-being, Inequality”
🎤 Speaker: Dr. Jeremy Evans
Join us for an insightful evening with Dr. Jeremy Evans as we delve into the complex relationship between wealth and well-being. While the saying goes that money cannot buy happiness, emerging research indicates that wealth can enhance well-being when it is directed toward fostering authentic relationships and meaningful life pursuits.
In this engaging lecture, Dr. Evans will discuss how, in today's increasingly unequal economic landscape, understanding the interplay between wealth and well-being is more crucial than ever. He will explore how wealth inequality not only affects economic standing but can also lead to disparities in overall happiness and satisfaction in life.
Dr. Jeremy Evans is a Professor and Director of the Managing for Social Impact program at Boston College. He earned his PhD in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014 and currently resides in Newton, MA. With a focus on the impact of social constructs on individual well-being, Dr. Evans offers a thought-provoking perspective on pressing societal issues.
Don’t miss this opportunity to engage in a meaningful conversation about the role of wealth in our pursuit of happiness!
