Dr. Julian R. Silverman is an Assistant Professor of Materials Science at The Fashion Institute of Technology and a part-time soap maker. A Haas Fellow at the Science History Institute, he actively engages in public science demonstrations across New York City. You may even find him blocking the aisles of small Manhattan drugstores, intently reading ingredient labels!
