🧠Lecture: "The Women of Pro-Wrestling: Untold Story, Vital History"
🎙️ Speaker: Prof. Mike Rodgers
Join us for a high-energy evening as Prof. Mike Rodgers shines a spotlight on the women of professional wrestling—trailblazers whose stories have been overlooked for far too long. From the earliest matches and tough training regimens to meteoric rises in popularity, this lecture uncovers the grit, showmanship, and resilience that defined women’s roles in the ring.
Prof. Rodgers will explore how these performers challenged expectations, shaped the industry, and created unforgettable characters, often in the face of limited recognition and opportunity. You’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the history you don’t see in highlight reels and the women who helped build the spectacle we know today.
Prof. Mike Rodgers is a Long Island music and performing arts educator with a background in professional wrestling, performing, personalities, and history. Known as the 2nd Best Pianist from Hicksville, NY, he has crafted a career—as in everything he does—that is unique and unexpected.
