Join us for a fascinating evening as Professor David Jeruzalmi reveals the invisible world of molecules at work inside every cell. He will show how scientists visualize incredibly tiny, normally unseen molecular movements and explain how molecular machines, such as proteins, drive essential life processes. Along the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how cells function, how DNA is replicated and repaired, and how this knowledge leads to new medical treatments.

David Jeruzalmi is a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The City College of New York (CCNY). His research uses X-ray crystallography and electron microscopy to uncover the structural and biochemical mechanisms behind DNA replication and repair. In addition to teaching at CCNY and the CUNY Graduate Center, he directs and co-directs research programs that give undergraduates hands-on experience at the frontiers of biochemistry and biophysics.
