The Battle of Cowpens occurred during the English Crown’s Southern Campaign and its outcome served as a turning point for America’s War for Independence in the American South. This lecture will highlight the story of General Daniel Morgan’s amazing victory — the only double envelopment of the conflict and a result which eventually pushed Lord Charles Cornwallis’s invasion into North Carolina.
