About the Speaker - Dr. Francesca Bocca-Aldaqre is a neuroscientist and Islamic psychologist with a PhD in systemic neuroscience from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität Munich. Recognizing that Western science lacked an adequate account of the soul, she embraced Islam to integrate classical Islamic psychology (*ʿIlm al-Nafs*) and address modern suffering at its roots. Her path to Islamic scholarship ran parallel to her scientific training, cultivated through travel to Muslim-majority countries and direct study under traditional scholars. She is a prolific researcher and writer, having authored over 12 books and published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers. She currently leads, teaches, and practices at institutions including the Istituto Islamico di Studi Avanzati and Shams — Psicologia Islamica.
