Join leather artist Silvia Guerrera in our Leather Journal Workshop.In this workshop you will work with coloured, polished, vegetable tanned leather to make a beautiful leather journal.
You will learn how to cut, trim, punch holes, stitch, burnish edges and condition your leather to assemble your master piece.
Your main pieces will be pre-cut for ease of assembly and you will learn the art of saddle stitch using waxed thread. Burnishing edges makes them smooth to the touch and a professional finish and how to emboss your initials if you desire.
A smart A4 journal will be provided.
PLEASE NOTE: This class is suitable for age 12 and over and for safety reasons, we request that guests wear fully enclosed shoes.
This is an adult open age class but is suitable for age 12 plus and no previous experience is necessary however children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
All materials and light refreshments will be provided.
