Struggling with pulling, freezing, or nonstop distractions on walks? This 1-hour, hands-on workshop is designed to give dog owners clear leash mechanics and practical tools they can start using immediately.
This session focuses on building calm, structured leash walking through proper handling, timing, and engagement — not just “tiring your dog out.”
🦮 WHAT WE’LL BE WORKING ON
✔ Leash mechanics & handling fundamentals
✔ Reducing pulling and leash resistance
✔ Dogs freezing or refusing to walk
✔ Building foundational focus using engagement games
✔ Managing common behavior challenges like:
Jumping on people
Constantly trying to greet dogs or strangers on walks
Eating things off the ground
Selective Hearing
Performing basic commands under distractions
⚠️ While behavior topics are addressed, this workshop is primarily leash-focused.
🐕 EQUIPMENT
• A slip leash will be provided for use during class
• Slip leashes will be available for purchase after class for $30

💉 VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
• Proof of vaccinations is required
• Bordetella (Kennel Cough) is mandatory

• Dogs must be able to work on leash in a group setting
• This workshop is not suitable for dogs that are overly reactive or aggressive
• Owners must bring high-value treats
• Family members are welcome (limit 2 additional attendees)
