Levine Museum of the New South invites you to a special screening and community discussion of Selma, the award-winning film that powerfully chronicles the 1965 Selma-to-Montgomery marches and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s leadership during one of the most pivotal moments of the Civil Rights Movement.
The evening begins with a brief opening reception, offering space for reflection, connection, and community before the film. Following the screening, participants will receive a thoughtfully crafted discussion guide designed to deepen understanding and inspire action throughout the year.
Join us for an experience that blends history, storytelling, and community—and invites all of us to consider how we can continue the work of the movement today. This event is presented as part of our community’s MLK Day events, honoring Dr. King’s legacy.
