'Learning from Living with Dementia' training day
About this Event
Learning from Living with Dementia
A one-day training course designed and written by Buz Loveday (Dementia Trainers) and co-produced with EDUCATE – a group of people living with dementia who share their experiences to help others learn.
What to expect
This engaging and practical course explores what dementia is and how it affects people, focusing on understanding the condition from the perspective of those living with it. Through discussion and reflection, participants will gain insight into communication, enabling environments, and strategies to support well-being and independence.
Who is it for?
This training is ideal for anyone who supports or interacts with people living with dementia, including care staff, volunteers, community workers, and family carers. It’s also valuable for anyone wanting to build their understanding and confidence - whether you’re new to dementia awareness or looking to refresh and deepen your knowledge through real lived experiences.
About our trainers
We’re pleased to share that our trainers, Natalie Fallows and Nina Parnell, have successfully completed the Learning from Living with Dementia: Train the Trainer course and are fully licensed by Dementia Trainers to deliver the Dementia Awareness course.
