Learning Disabilities and Sexual Health - A face to face course

This is a free face to face training course delivered by THT Norfolk for all practitioners promoting sexual health in Norfolk.

Aim

To provide an overview of sexual health promotion and education for people with learning disabilities.

Outcomes

• Explain that people with learning disabilities have the same sexual needs as everyone else.
• Explain the difficulties to overcome in communicating sexual health issues
• State ways to communicate effectively with people with a learning disability around sexual health.
• Describe consent and capacity and it’s role in terms of sexual health.
• State resources and services we can access to aid and support us in promoting peoples sexual health.
