About this Event
Learning and Loving Locs
This isn't a how-to workshop. Nobody's teaching you how to do locs here. 😄
This is a conversation that's been a long time coming.
Whether you've had locs for years, you're thinking about starting your journey, or you've just always been curious but didn't know where to ask your questions, this space is for you.
We're going to talk about what it actually feels like to wear locs. The pride, the history, the moments when someone says something that catches you off guard, and how you navigate all of it while still loving your hair and yourself.
Here's what we're getting into:
- Where locs come from and why that history actually matters to your journey today
- How to handle the comments, the questions, and the "but what about your job?" conversations from strangers AND family
- What it means to love something because you love it not because it fits someone else's box
- A scenario-based activity where we practice real responses to real situations, together
You'll leave with a little notebook, a pen, and a lot more confidence in your story.
Tickets are $5. Bring your questions, your experiences, and your real self. There's no debate happening here, just good conversation, some learning, and a whole lot of love for the loc life.
