Six weekly lessons and short hikes given by master birder Sue Zelek on the key shapes, markings, habits and songs for our local birds will make spring birdwatching a snap!
The lessons will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sundays, Jan. 25 through March 1. The cost includes a field guide and other birding materials.
This program is sponsored by the Thorn Creek Audubon Society.
Fee: $50 prepaid per person for the full series.
Age: Ages 11 or older.
Registration and payment required by Monday, Jan. 19: 708-747-6320.
This program will be held indoors in an accessible facility. For the hikes, participants should be able to walk 3/4 mile outdoors on natural surface trails across uneven and possibly wet/muddy terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should call 708-747-6320.
