Jacky and Sandy are extremely excited to offer a two day “Trim Your Horse” Workshop. The weekend will be packed with informative discussions and practical experience.This weekend aims to give you a strong understanding of
• Hoof trimming and the skills to maintain your own horses’ hooves
• What makes a healthy & unhealthy hoof
• How you can have happy healthy and sound horses.
and the eye to recognize & treat common hoof pathologies
This is a two-day workshop, you can attend one or both of the days (attendance at day one is a perquisite for attending day two).
The weekend will include
• Discussion about research and experience
• Practical sessions
• Live trimming demonstrations
• Practice on cadaver hooves
• Dissections of cadaver hooves
• Observing bio-mechanics and their impact on hooves
• Keys to success
• Management of diet, environment, and exercise
• Boots and transitioning to barefoot
• Tool care and maintenance
We are both members of the Australian Certified Equine Hoofcare Practitioner (ACEHP) Leadership team.
Fees:
Saturday only: $250.00
Sunday only: $250.00
Both Days: $450.00
