Give your young maker the confidence and skills to create something they can be proud of! This 6-week kids sewing series is designed especially for beginner sewists and is a wonderful fit for homeschool students looking for a creative hands-on learning experience.
Over the course of six weekly sessions, students will:
Learn the basics of safely using and caring for a sewing machine
Practice measuring, marking, and cutting fabric accurately
Build sewing confidence through guided exercises
Piece fabric together to create their very own small quilt by the end of the session
Our class is taught by Kiley Ferons, who will keep the pace supportive and encouraging, focusing on foundational skills, problem-solving, and creativity. Students will leave with new sewing knowledge — and a finished project they can snuggle, gift, or display with pride!
Great for: Ages (8-18), beginners, and homeschool learners
Includes: Step-by-step instruction, practice time, and lots of encouragement
Students will need: A sewing machine (rentals are available), basic sewing supplies, and project fabric (supply list provided upon registration)
By the end of the six weeks, students won’t just know how to sew — they’ll understand how a quilt comes together, one stitch at a time.
