This summer, we're excited to announce a "Learn to Ring Summer Club" for 11-14s. It will run from 24th to 28th August, from 9.30 to 12.30 at St Margaret's Church Altrincham.
Kids are great at ringing and find it extremely rewarding. It's the most challenging musical instrument, requiring a heady mix of physical coordination and mental agility, and kids pick it up in Rapid Time. And while bell ringing generally takes place in a church, it’s a hobby for all faiths and none.
The club will teach youngsters how to ring a church bell on their own and with others, but also introduce them to change ringing on hand bells. And it will be just £25 for the week.
