Bridge is a Great Game!!!
New Program begins Thursday Sept. 3 at 9:30am
Learning to play bridge, at any age, is a wonderful venture, a fun hobby, and one to gain new friends, while also providing good entertainment. York boasts a vibrant bridge club, in East York, called the White Rose Bridge Club, which offers bridge games several times a week, at various levels of ability.
Bridge is played almost everywhere around the world and is enjoyed by individuals of every age. Bridge can help young people in math skills and to problem solve, it definitely provides mental stimulation, and also helps seniors maintain mental acuity.
There is an upcoming opportunity to learn the game, and begin a life long love of the amazing game of bridge. Beginning on September 3rd, beginner bridge lessons will be offered from 9:30am to Noon on Thursdays. Instruction will be done by fully accredited teachers, who have enjoyed introducing the game to many players, who have welcomed bridge into their lives as a satisfying new hobby.
These classes will be great for brand new players, players coming back to the game, social players transitioning to duplicate bridge, or players who just want to start over and fill in some gaps. The cost for each session is $10.00.
