Adult workshop

Class:

In this beginner level class adult workshop attendees will learn how to make t-shirt yarn and then learn to plain weave their own mug rug on a pre-warped loom. Participants will learn how to change color on the weave, learn about fibers and how to hem stitch, to secure the ends. They will weave with the yarn made and create a mug rug from cotton yarn with a cotton/wool warp.

Provided:

• Use of loom
• Warping yarn
• Tapestry needle
• Tape Measure

Participants bring:

• A clean t-shirt from their closet or thrift store (100% cotton and no side seams)
• Good scissors for cutting fabric

Arrival time:

• Please arrive on time.
• Workshop will begin promptly at 12:00 pm
