Join us for our first ever Intro to Leather-Craft class, taught by the owner of Gemini Handmade and leather-craft master, Elyse Marie Welcher. This class will take place on March 23rd, 2025 from 2-5pm in the Gemini Handmade workshop space. Pick between two project options and learn to cut, assemble, and finish a fully functional wallet!Students will learn how to clicker cut, bevel, punch, hand-stitch, and edge-burnish a leather wallet of choice in this class.
Cost per participant is $75. The class is capped at 6 students and will take place at the large workshop table, where we sit on shop stools. This workshop is best suited for adult participants.
Your workshop fee includes:
~ leather to make either selected wallet project
~ selection of thread colors to stitch your project
~ access to tools + machinery for creating for item
~ 4 leather-craft needles to keep for future projects
~ a basic awl to keep for future projects
~ a basic bevel to keep for future projects
~ a small resource + instructional zine to keep and reference
