If you want to learn to knit socks but don’t want to commit to a three week course, or you would love to learn how to knit in the round using Double Pointed Needles, then come along to this very workshop! Everything you need to know, in a 4.5 hour workshop!Unfortunately, one day is not enough time to knit an adult sock! So in this workshop you will knit a sample sock and learn the following skills:
+ Knitting in the round on Double Pointed Needles
+ Casting on loose enough for a sick cuff
+ Joining the cast on stitches into a circle without twisting the stitches
+ Turning a heel
+ Grafting the toe stitches
To take part in this workshop, please make sure you can knit and purl confidently.

1pm until 5:30pm
At Fully Woolly in Hythe, Southampton
What to bring
+ A set of 5 x 2.50mm Double Pointed Needles (We can provide for an extra charge)
+ Stitch Markers
+ Scissors, tapestry needle, pen or pencil
What is included
+ In-person 4.5-hour tuition with an experienced, friendly knitting instructor.
+ 25g of 4ply Yarn - but feel free to bring your own if you preferred.
+ Tea, coffee & soft drinks.

Each workshop will be 2.5 hours long and have space for 10 attendees as well as the instructor and shop owner. An email will be sent out several days before with instructions on where to park and how to find us.
