About this Event

This is a free workshop for adults who want to learn more about hunting turkey in Illinois. This workshop is best suited for beginning turkey hunters.

We will go over as much about hunitng turkeys in Illinois as possible in a half day course. The regulations, finding places to go, equipment, calling, how to set-up and more.

If you have never hunted before or have just a bit, this workshop is sure to teach you what you need to know in order to pursue turkey in Illinois.

Be preparred to be outside and hiking some. You won't need any equipment beyond hiking stuff and maybe tick prevention. Feel free to bring your own calls if you like. Not required.

Free for adults 18 and over.

We will meet in the Caster's Shelter, in the Spencer Conservation Area at 603 N. Appleton Rd., Belvidere, IL (see here: https://www.bccdil.org/shelters/). This shelter is closest to the nature center and parking area.
