This is a real-world introduction to DJing, taught the way it’s done in professional nightclubs—not a software demo and not a bedroom-DJ tutorial.

You’ll learn directly from Duck Syndicate (Ian Hoffer), an experienced club DJ and the host of Philadelphia’s legendary “What The Duck?” parties, using the same equipment found in top venues worldwide.

This session focuses on the fundamentals that actually matter in a club environment:

• Music sources
• Mixing techniques used in live venues
• Track selection and energy flow
• Cue points, loops, and transitions
• Understanding club sound systems and gain structure
• DJ etiquette, booth workflow, and real-world tips

Instruction is clear, practical, and grounded in decades of real nightlife and performance experience.

You’ll practice on true club-standard gear, including:

• Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 mixer
• Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2
• Pioneer CDJ-3000X
• MIDI Fighter performance controller
• Portable professional sound system

This is the same type of setup you’ll encounter in serious clubs and venues—not entry-level controllers.

This is not a lecture.
Each attendee will get time behind the decks to practice and apply what’s taught, with direct guidance and feedback.
