Learn to dance, no need for a partner. Meet new people and learn a new skill. Our curriculum will take you from novice to social dancer, and onward to an experienced dancer

❤️ What is Kizomba? ❤️
Kizomba is now the fastest growing partnered dance style in the world. With a vast array of music to dance to both in it's authentic and modern fusion forms, Kizomba is definitely not your parents dance. Kizomba is a Passada (walking) dance, originally hailing from Angola and the Portuguese speaking (Palop) African countries. Partners dance connected at the chest to a driving beat and complex rhythms. One of the easiest partnered social dances to pick up initially, it is also one of the most complex and intricate styles to dance.

Our curriculum is designed specifically to establish the method and training required for you to become the best dancer possible
🥇 Beginners Level One Foundation 7:30pm
Our Foundation class is designed to take you from complete beginner to a social dancer with the tools to dance Kizomba with anyone in the world. Foundation terms start with a comprehensive understanding and application of the fundamental movements of Kizomba. The methods, explanations and examples vary with each term, to give new insights into fundamentals, allowing the dancer to build and improve their leading and following
🎖Improvers Level Two 6:30pm
Our Improvers Level class is designed for the Kizomba dancer with a good grasp of the basic fundamentals (i.e. Bases 1,2&3, Touch, Hesitation, Balanca, and the timings of Tempo, Suave, Lento and basic Contratempo). Each term we dive into a concept, covering variations and adaptations, to level up your lead and follow

Please Note - Participation in the Intermediate / Open class is only available for students that have a grasp of the fundamentals as determined by Riovana staff

Street Parking
Over 100 street, and CPP, car bays are within a short distance from our front door. These are safe, well lit, and regularly patrolled by police and City of Perth Rangers. Please do not park in the parking lot at the rear of the building, as they belong to the business above, and aren’t available to us. Please also be mindful returning to your vehicle as there are a couple of apartment buildings close by
