Learn To Crochet Your Own Top - 3 Week Course

Crochet clothes are definitely on trend at the moment, and with so much being possible with just a few crochet stitches and techniques under your belt, it’s a great time to consider picking up a crochet hook and making your own clothes!

Crochet is a craft that does wonders for our mental health and wellbeing – allowing you time to relax, feel inspired, reduce stress and generally feel good. The projects you can make are endless and this is a brilliant chance to learn to ropes to get started with a new creative hobby.

Whether you’re a seasoned crocheter or a complete beginner, this 3 week course is going to show you how to crochet your own adorable top, made to fit you.

You will learn:

– A handful of useful stitches and techniques

– How to crochet in rows

– How to join pieces of crochet together

– How to adapt a pattern to your own size

And more!

The pattern is simple, with the aim of showing you how you can use basic crochet skills that you may already know to form shapes, that you can then piece together to make panels, which you can then piece together to make wearable items. There are techniques for finishing it off thrown in too. You can make it the size and length that you prefer.

Between sessions, there may be some extra crochet required in order to follow along with each stage, depending on where you get to each week in the session.

T his course takes place live on Zoom, with the pattern and Zoom links being sent out to you in advance. Recordings will be made depending on the groups agreement to being recorded.

All materials will be provided for this course, however if you'd prefer to bring your own you will need:

Size 4 crochet hook

2 colours of D K weight yarn (I'm using Stylecraft Naturals Bamboo Cotton DK)

Scissors

2 stitch markers

Pen/pencil
