Want to learn how to crochet? Need help with any step of DRAW's "plarn" tote pattern? Looking to join our community and make a difference?
You're invited to DRAW's next Crochet Day, where we'll be going over the basics of crocheting with DRAW's Plarn Flood Bag pattern. Join us Saturday, July 11th from 10A-12P in the Coffee Bucket (#104 3549 Airport Rd. Waterford, MI 48329).
As part of our Green Initiative, DRAW recycles grocery bags to make "Plarn" (plastic yarn) totes for survivors after natural disasters. These bags help as they muck out their homes and salvage what belongings they may have left. Grocery bags are donated from the public, and DRAW's army of volunteers make the plarn and crochet totes to give out to disaster victims in times of need.
At Crochet Day, DRAW will have extra crochet hooks (size Q) and plastic yarn available to learn with. Not sure where to start? Watch our full video tutorial before the event and we'll help you at any step of the process. (https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1366893577963296)
