Learn to Code with Swift Playground

Join us for a free, introductory coding class at Apple Saddle Creek. In this 60-minute session, we'll introduce kids and their parents to the Everyone Can Code (ECC) program hosted by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Memphis Chapter.

The NCBW "Everyone Can Code" program is a free, 8-week virtual initiative designed for youth (ages 8-18) to learn fundamental coding skills using the Swift programming language. Swift is a powerful programming language created by Apple that’s used to build many popular apps, and Swift Playground is an app for iPad that makes learning how to code interactive and fun. During the 60-minute session, we’ll show you how to get started with coding using Swift Playground. Bring your iPad or we’ll provide one.

The ECC program offers three (3) classes: Beginner, Intermediate, and Coding Bootcamp. Through each class, we are able to witness and help foster the mentees’ growth in their coding skills as well as their personal growth as upcoming leaders.
