This quilting group was started in the museum’s community gallery beside the Huddersfield Narrow Canal a few years ago by a small group of enthusiasts. We appropriately named ourselves The Canalside Quilters.
We welcome beginners and there is absolutely no experience needed. You only need to bring some material. These days it is not just about quilting and there are many of the group with other sewing craft skills. The group have everything from cutting mats, pattern cutters through to sewing machines and irons.
We have a half yearly joining fee of £12 with each session costing £3
