About this Event
In this workshop we will dive into the Japanese art of kokedama, a style of Japanese Bonsai in which a plant's root system is wrapped in moss and bound with string, transforming it into a living sculpture. We will discuss the care and maintenance for your new kokedama. Then we will walk you through how to create your very own kokedama.
*This class is deals with wet soil/wet moss and is messy (picture making mud pies when you were a kid). We advise that no one wears anything they would be sad to get dirty!
**We also don't really recommended this workshop for young children as it may be a bit too difficult for them.
Each person attending the workshop will create one medium-sized kokedama choosing from an assortment of plants to work with.
This workshop includes:
- Instruction and guidance in creating your kokedama
- All materials needed for creating your kokedama
- You choice of one (1) plant for your kokedama
- 20% off coupon to use at Urban Pothos Houseplant Shop.
All participants will take the Kokedama they create home.
Don't worry about not knowing what to do. We will teach you everything you need to know!
